Rx. Adenophorae Nan Sha Shen 12g Nourishes Yin, moistens the Lungs, dispels Phlegm and stops cough.
With Mai Men Dong, for a dry cough with little Phlegm and a parched throat due to Lung Dryness or Heat injuring the Lung Yin
With Mai Men Dong and Tian Hua Fen, for chronic, dry, non-productive cough with marked reduction of fluids due to Lung Yin Deficiency.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 10g Moistens the Lungs, nourishes Yin and stops cough.
Rx. Trichosanthis Tian Hua Fen 10g Clears and drains Lung Heat, transforms Phlegm and moistens Lung Dryness.
Cx. Lycii Di Gu Pi 12g Clears and drains Heat in the Lung.
With Sang Bai Pi, for Lung Heat cough or wheezing.
Rx. Asteris Zi Wan 10g Relieves coughs and expels Phlegm.
Bul. Fritillariae Cirrhosae Chuan Bei Mu 10g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, stops cough and nourishes and moistens the Lung.
With Xing Ren, for cough and wheezing with copious sputum.
Fol. Eriobotryae Pi Pa Ye 10g Transforms Phlegm, clears Lung Heat and descends Lung Qi.
With Pi Pa Ye, for Lung Heat induced non-productive cough, or cough with viscous sputum that is difficult to expectorate, with chest pain and a dry throat.
Sm. Armeniacae Xing Ren 10g Stops cough and calms wheezing.
With Mai Men Dong, for dry cough due to Dryness and Heat injuring the Lungs.
With Chuan Bei Mu, for wheezing and cough from externally contracted Lung disorders, non-productive cough from Lung Deficiency disorders and coughing of thick, yellow sputum due to Phlegm-Fire.
Cx. Mori Sang Bai Pi 10g Drains Heat from the Lungs, stops cough and calms wheezing.
